Meatloaf recipe

Here is a simple and delicious meatloaf recipe:

Ingredients:

500 g of beef (or mixed minced beef and pork)
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs or breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
100 g of boiled ham or ham crumbs
100 g of hard cheese, cut into thin slices
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

For the glaze:

2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar (optional)

Instructions:

Preparation of the meat base:

In a deep bowl, mix the beef (or minced meat), egg, breadcrumbs, milk, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
Mix all the ingredients well until smooth.

Forming a roll:

Place the cooking film on the work surface.
Spread the meat mixture over the film and spread it into a rectangle, leaving a small space around the edges.
Arrange the ham or ham crumbs and thin slices of cheese on top of the meat mixture.

Twisting the roll:

Carefully lift the edge of the film and start twisting the meat, forming a roll.
Wrap the roll in foil and secure the ends.

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the roll on all sides until golden brown.
Transfer the roll to a baking sheet and place in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.

Preparation of glaze:

In a bowl, mix the tomato sauce, ketchup and honey (or brown sugar).

Coating the roll with glaze:

10-15 minutes before the end of cooking, remove the roll from the oven and apply the glaze on top.
Then put it back in the oven until cooking is complete, until the roll is golden and warmed through.

Supply:

Remove the roll from the oven, let it stand for a while, then cut into portions.
Serve hot, sprinkled with fresh herbs. Potatoes, rice or vegetables of your choice will be suitable as a side dish.
